My name is Kaje Thomas.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and have been coaching professionally in private practice since 2006. The road that led to becoming a coach was long and winding and my gratitude for it deepens daily.

My childhood and early adult life are rich with struggle, pressure, judgment, and self-abandonment. This required me to hone my street smarts very early and become highly flexible and adaptable which has been an invaluable part of my education and skillset as a coach. Navigating my queer closeted childhood as well as the early and ongoing discrimination of my adult life has deepened my empathy and compassion for others intensely. Between the ages of 18-38, I worked in 20 different industries from laying cable to corporate America which was instrumental in broadening my understanding of humanity by working with people of vastly varying racial, social, and economic backgrounds. My many failures and mistakes as a friend, partner, and parent have deeply humbled me and helped shape me into the coach I am today.

I went back to school at 38 to acquire a degree in psychology and become a therapist but pivoted at 40 to pursue my coaching certification with Coach Training Alliance, an International Coaching Federation-accredited School.

When Iā€™m not working you can find me spending time with friends and family or outside playing. I enjoy frisbee, tennis, ping pong, basketball, meditating, listening to a good podcast, spending time on and in the water, playing guitar, and listening to music.
